The Montvales- Cincinnati OH- Born and raised in Knoxville, TN, Sally Buice and Molly Rochelson of songwriter duo The Montvales spent much of their formative years busking amidst the Elvis impersonators and musical saw players of the town’s Market Square, honing their uniquely boisterous harmonies and driving, joyful sound. Eventually they graduated to playing indoors on the local Americana radio station, WDVX, and found community in old-time circles around town. A local fiddler’s dairy cows were among the first intrepid listeners of their early DIY recordings. After moving away for several years to seek their fortunes separately, Molly and Sally finally reunited in 2019 to write and record their first album, Heartbreak Summer Camp. The two now make their home in Cincinnati, OH, spending their days touring extensively and crafting intimate, storytelling-driven songs that explore the joys and perils of self-determination.
Alicia Gail- Nashville TN- A Memphis born artist, a songwriter and singer at heart and soul. Alicia Gail had a specific mood of dark elegance that pulls from deep rooted threads of blues rock.
Trevor Bahnson- Nashville TN- Trevor Bahnson is a singer, songwriter and prodigiously gifted guitarist who crafts indie-folk songs with a torch for rock ‘n’ roll romantics like Bob Dylan and Paul Simon. With a voice that carries wisdom beyond his years and a lyricism that draws strength from vulnerability, Trevor makes music that sounds a bit like the desert where he was born: plaintive, powerful, with hints of mischief and mystery; it’s meant to reverberate across wild, open spaces.
janan alexandra- is the daughter of a Lebanese mother and a Beirut-born American father. Her life has been peripatetic, with roots scattered in Cyprus, Lebanon, Pakistan, England, France, and many corners of North America. Since 2015, janan has taught poetry and creative writing in schools, libraries, youth arts centers, zoom rooms, and carceral spaces. Along with language work, janan has facilitated restorative movement classes; nannied for families; welded ice cream scoops; tied oyster nets; tended land and animals; built furniture; baked bread; painted houses; and busked fiddle tunes to make a living.
Her work has been published widely in print and online, and her debut poetry collection, COME FROM, will be released with BOA Editions this spring.
Jack Laskey & Donny Bradley- Local Old-Time musicians, classic fiddle and banjo.
